Who is Sukhi?

Sukhi Singh Sahota is your NDP candidate for Vancouver Granville.

Before settling in Vancouver, Sukhi lived in the UK, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, and Hong Kong. 

His experience growing up with family members struggling with health issues and disabilities taught him the importance of a social safety net and the need to protect universal healthcare. 

A proud member of the 2SLGTBQIA+ community, he believes society can only be judged by how it looks after our most vulnerable individuals.

He studied accounting and finance and works for an environmental NGO focused on the climate crisis. His commitment to the community led him to launch a food pantry during the pandemic, supporting those facing housing and food insecurity.

As your MP, he will fight to strengthen our democracy, build a people-focused economy, and defend our social safety net from Trump’s trade war.

In Ottawa, he’ll fight for regular people, not billionaires, and work tirelessly to build a fairer, more equitable Canada.
